Within the Insurance Broking industry, the weighted average owner’s age of insurance firms is close to 55 years however, only 65% of owners have a succession plan in mind. Furthermore, only a small percentage of Insurance Broking firms are classified as high performers within each business size category. There are 28% of high performers in the small business category, 26% in the medium business category and 40% in the large business category.
