Annual client conference and strategy day 2014

By , February 19, 2014

On 7th February we hosted over 100 of our clients and referral partners at our annual client strategy day – the focus of the day was looking at people, performance and profit and how to engage key people within our businesses and incentivise them to achieve maximum performance and ultimately improve our overall profitability.

Some of the key issues we looked at were the difference between leading and lagging indicators and how to create a KPI focused scorecard that we could use to monitor business performance. Around that we then designed an employee incentive plan to focus our energy in driving those results which make the most difference to the performance of our business.

We were also lucky enough on the day to spend time with three fantastic guest speakers.

Phil Kearns CEO of Centric Wealth advised that the power in your business is your staff, not you. David Thomas, of Think Global consulting, discussed the potential for both investment and opportunity in engaging with China, and Grant Abbott of Now Infinity outlined several innovative strategies to use a self-managed super fund for asset protection, wealth creation and tax minimisation.

All speakers received great feedback and our clients and referral partners also enjoyed the opportunity to network with each other over a cold drink at the end of the day.
